TOEFL Preparation Course at The Williams School

The Williams School is pleased to offer a comprehensive TOEFL Preparation Course in partnership with The Learning Consultants. Instruction will be led by Dr. Kristina Knobelsdorff, a master English test-prep teacher with extensive experience guiding multilingual students to high performance. Participants will develop the full range of skills assessed on the TOEFL, including academic reading, structured listening, integrated and independent speaking, and analytical writing. Students will also learn essential test-taking strategies, vocabulary development techniques, and effective self-study methods tailored specifically to the TOEFL format. June 22-25 (Monday-Thursday, 10 am to 12:30 pm. The program fee is $395

SAT Boot Camp at The Williams School

The Williams School is pleased to host an intensive SAT Boot Camp in partnership with The Learning Consultants, Connecticut’s leading test-prep organization, taught personally by Daryl Capuano, founder of The Learning Consultants and a master test-prep instructor. Students will receive direct instruction in reading comprehension, grammar foundations, and core SAT math, along with proven test-taking strategies, guided self-study methods, and psychological performance techniques designed to build confidence and maximize results. July 13-16 (Monday-Thursday), 10 am to 12:30 pm. The program fee is $395.

Data Analytics: The Skill and Career Path of the Future at The Williams School

The Williams School s pleased to offer a dynamic Data Analytics course led by Zane Rooney, founder of Forward Education Company and an expert in applied data analysis and partner with The Learning Consultants. Designed for students who are still exploring academic and career pathways, the course provides a comprehensive introduction to the fundamental skills of modern data analytics. Participants will learn the full data workflow—from gathering and cleaning data to transforming information into meaningful insights and compelling visual dashboards. Using tools such as Excel, SQL, and professional dashboarding platforms, students will develop both technical proficiency and the analytical thinking required to approach problems through a data-driven lens. By week’s end, students will have acquired valuable skills for college and beyond, along with the confidence to explore their interests in new and informed ways. The course will run Monday-Thursdays, July 13-16 1:00–2:30 p.m., The fee is $495.

Student Mastery

The Student Mastery program was created for those students who:

1) could benefit from a more holistic framework for practices that are useful in all subjects and 2) would like long-lasting academic performance lessons designed to endure throughout their academic careers.

Our best practices program will lead to getting better grades.  But, the real hope of the program is that success in school will build a greater appreciation for a lifetime of learning.  At the very least, students and parents are delighted by the simple fact that their daily battles over studying substantially decrease or disappear altogether. Study Abroad
Sue Matzen, Study Abroad Mentor (Based in Denmark)

Students take a brave step into the unknown when they choose to study abroad. For some, the experience is more comfortable – and the learning more beneficial – with a local mentor.

Sue Matzen nurtures young people’s ability to use their surroundings, experiences and everyday life as growth opportunities. A long-time mentor to Americans studying abroad in Denmark, Sue joined The Learning Consultants in 2026 and extend this offer across the EU.

Sue offers 1:1 mentoring in person (in Denmark) or online.

About Sue

Trained as an anthropologist at Duke University (BA) and McGill University (MA), Sue uses clients’ own experience and context as a starting place for their growth and success.  Sue believes that curiosity, listening and respect are the fundamental skills we all need to thrive.
