Early Decision and Early Action results coming in for Connecticut students – See SAT CorrelationBy Daryl CapuanoSAT ACT Test Prep
For all the noise and perhaps wishful thinking regarding SAT scores not being super important for most every elite college, take a look at Early Action and Early Decision results from your local Connecticut high school. The Ivy League universities are releasing their decisions now. Some already have and some will be soon.
Since we work with many of the top achievers from Guilford High School, Daniel Hand High School, Old Saybrook High School, Lyme-Old Lyme High School, East Lyme High School, Valley Regional High School, among other excellent high schools in Shoreline, CT, we have an enormous amount of anecdotal evidence as to who gains admission, who gets deferred, and who gets rejected.
My general references will relate to past years – so that none of our clients feel we are divulging their SAT scores – but this year, like in years past, the correlation between high success and high SAT scores is almost exact. There are exceptions, of course, but those are the ones with hooks: athletics, underrepresented minorities, and VIP/legacy connected applicants.
If you aspire to any elite college, you need top SAT scores. Period. Take our Winter class or sign up for individual tutoring.
