East Lyme High School Students: SAT Prep History With The Learning Consultants

The Learning Consultants’ history with East Lyme High School students is deep.

Perhaps because we have been working with SCCS for over 15 years – which is comprised of many East Lyme students –

Perhaps because The Learning Consultants was part of Pfizer’s benefits program for years

Perhaps because East Lyme students tend to be among the strongest in all of Connecticut

For all those reasons, The Learning Consultants has enjoyed our relationship with East Lyme students for two decades.

Pre-Covid, we worked with dozens of East Lyme students every year for SAT Prep (outside of SCCS).

Post-Covid, less so, test-optionality and the pervasive vibe for many students to just stay at home… but we see that has begun to change.

Why SAT Prep Matters

Living in coastal Connecticut communities—East Lyme, Niantic, Old Lyme, Old Saybrook, Guilford, Madison, and Essex—students often aspire to gain entry into selective colleges and competitive academic programs. High SAT scores can open doors to honors programs, merit scholarships, and top-tier summer opportunities.

Grad inflation has hampered top schools such as East Lyme.

Getting top grades at a top school is far harder than at subpar high schools.  But there are students throughout the country, let alone Connecticut, with the exact same grades. Unfair.
