SAT Mastery Seminar – Shoreline Summer Program

“I can’t believe he’s enjoying the class.”  Dylan’s mom said.   Dylan was a typical teen, eager to enjoy the Connecticut shoreline’s many activities.  His mom explained that the college process was going to come up on him faster than expected and that she was overruling his objections.

Fortunately, Dylan had heard from an older student that the class was “good”.   So when I met Dylan he was more not objectionable to learning at all.  Even more significantly, we seemed to connect when I was going through my initial “Why are you here?” presentation, which motivates students.  As he told his mom, “I understand – I’m moving away from home soon and I want to control that move.”

Every summer, some variation of this conversation occurs.  Summers in Connecticut, along the Guilford-East Lyme area, are magical.   A few hours of work per week to build your child’s future will make you – and, surprisingly, your child – happier.  Longer story, but most want to be compelled to do things that are good for them, and most are thinking about college more than you know.
