Improve Career Prospects by Improving Writing Skills

By General Education Advice, Writing Training

Good writing isn’t just important for authors, English teachers, or technical writers. It tops the list of skills most prized by employers today.

According to a 2018 survey by the NACE (National Association of Colleges and Employers), employers placed written communication ahead of all other attributes they value in recent college graduates (“In the Salary Race, Engineers Sprint, but English Majors Endure.” David Deming. NY Times, Sept 20, 2019).

This means that job candidates with solid writing skills have an advantage over those who don’t. In the business world, writing well means conveying information clearly and precisely.

The good news is that anyone can learn how to write effectively. Building this skill, though, takes effort and practice, as does anything worth achieving.

The expert writing tutors at The Learning Consultants have helped students of all ages achieve writing mastery. We offer customized tutoring and coaching plans to meet students at their particular levels and build from there.
