A few things you should know: |
During my 17 years of working with families from Connecticut, The University of Connecticut has gone from a school that many parents considered a “safety” (I prefer using “comfortable” chance for admission) to range to now a reach for many students. The desirability of UCONN – a great school at the right price – has led to thousands of top applicants who were once fixated on the Ivy league and other upper tier schools. The consequence: students need high SAT scores. I have heard different numbers – off the record – from school officials but 1260 seems to be floating around the most. Regardless, 1200 is likely a must, except for those who are number 1 or 2 in their class. If you want to attend UCONN, take our SAT class.
